Making Time Work for You

Kris Cole

Life today should carry a health warning don’t you think?

A society malnourished of ‘family time’ and ‘me time’, but with lots of ‘over- time’. Are you part of this time-starved world aided by vitamin supplements and high caffeine drinks, driven by the demands and business of life and work? Do your relationships lack depth, and are you losing your sense of joy, fun and fulfilment or sense of vocation. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Everyone has 168 hours in a week. How we spend our time and prioritise our life determines how successful we will be personally and professionally. Time cravings aren’t quenched by tinkering with stress management techniques, having a detox or going on a holiday in the sun. It takes effort.

Making Time Work empowers you to be your own life coach, to make lasting, positive, inspirational changes to your working life and life outside work, and to discover a more satisfiying way of living. Making Time Work requires us to place a high value on time. After all, your time is your life.

This book will help you apply a practical and proven pattern of thinking to easily distinguish between what and who is important and what or who is not. This will help you spend your time where it counts most – for you to build the life you want.

Available through all good bookshops.

Every Day With ADHD

Kerry Cooney

The lives of hundreds of families have been changed by the information in this book.

Every Day With ADHD offers what parents have long been waiting for – hope and a way out of the daily stress and frustration of raising a child who has ADHD.

It contains a powerful series of proven, practical, simple, ready-to-use techniques and strategies for today and everyday.  It will, in short, transform your child’s life and future. It sounds amazing, but once you know the secret to reaching your child, their life and fortune changes --- and you will become a happier, more fulfilled parent of a happier, more fulfilled family.

Author Kerry Cooney has been there, having lived through this issue from several angles; as a parent of a child with ADHD, as well as an educator for parents, teachers, carers and professionals. In a time when ADHD was rarely talked about or acknowledged Kerry developed and ran workshops over a 10 year period helping other parents who had all but given up. Her program became so successful in reaching “nightmare” children that she wrote this book, and continues to help parents create better lives and brighter futures for their children, families and themselves.

Bama Country:

The Indigenous Rainforest People of Tropical North Queensland

Tim Bottoms

Who were the people that lived in Tropical North Queensland before the arrival of Europeans? How did they live in the rainforest, and what sort of culture did they develop?

Bama Country gives an accessible and fascinating introduction to the way of life of the Bama, the Indigenous Australian Rainforest people of Tropical North Queensland, prior to the advent of European settlement from 1864.

In the region that became the Wet Tropics in 1988, from Cardwell in the South to Cooktown in the North, the original lifestyles of the Dyirbal, Yidiny, Djabugay and Kuku Yalanji-speaking people is presented together with an insight into their remarkable use of their tropical rainforest and coastal environment.

Dr Timothy Bottoms has been researching and writing on Indigenous rainforest people as well as Far North Queensland history for over 20 years.
